In this two-day training, you will learn:

  • To recognise typical features of negative interaction cycles in ADHD
  • What to pay attention to when doing the Tango with these couples
  • Working with video clips of the presenters’ couples
  • The case where the therapist themselves is affected by ADHD
  • How to combine EFT de-escalation principles with psychoeducational and normalising information

Objective

After this course, you will be able to identify ADHD-specific relationship dynamics and address them using the proven EFT approach. You will help couples develop compassion for each other and understand that both partners are affected by the diagnosis.

Target Audience

Therapists with basic EFT training (at least an Externship) who work with couples where ADHD plays a role.

Ben Kneubühler – EFT Trainer and Couples Therapist

Ben Kneubühler

Psychotherapist, Clinical Sexologist and one of the first ICEEFT-certified EFT Trainers in Switzerland. Ben leads the EFT training programme in German-speaking Switzerland and specialises in couples therapy, sex therapy, and ADHD. He is the director of the ISP Zürich and owner of Psychologe GmbH in Zurich.

Alexine Thompson-de Benoît – EFT Supervisor and Trainer

Alexine Thompson-de Benoît

ICEEFT-certified EFT Supervisor and Trainer. Alexine is an experienced couples therapist and internationally recognised EFT educator. She teaches in English and French and brings extensive clinical experience working with couples where ADHD plays a role.
